White Onions
Approximately 5% of all onions produced
in the United States are white onions. White onions are
traditionally used in classic Mexican cuisine and they display
a golden color and sweet flavor when sautéed. Many restaurants
prefer white onions for their freshly made onion rings because
the white onion variety offers a more thick ring when sliced.
